I have run out of airtime so haven't been able two update blog but there is wifi at this albergue at Ruesca. These last 2 days have been very tough - far harder than the hiking I normally do. Long distances with nothing in between. No shops or bars or anywhere to stop for a coffee. Scenery is spectacular but the path is mostly rocky and permanently uphill. Walked 26 km yesterday mainly on my own arriving at a beautiful albergue right up in the mountains at Arres. There were 13 of us there, Dorm was small though and lots of snoring!lovely meal provided so I took some tips. We were awakened at 6.30 and breakfast at 7 and on the road at 7.45 am. Today was very arduous with absolutely nothing between Arres and Ruesta - 30 kms of more uphills in terrific heat. Lost my hat and broke my sunglasses so had no protection. Arrived here at 1.30 pm fairly shattered and exhausted. Mainly Spanish on the trail and 2 English but am getting lots of practice with my Spanish. Apart from heat weather is perfect. We have finally lost sight of the Pyrenees. Shorter day tomorrow - only 22 kms.
