I arrived here at 9.45 am in the freezing cold, expecting to help with the cleaning but it was all done. The pilgrims started to arrive from 2 onwards and now there are 18 now. We have helped make the supper, been introduced to Ernesto of the other albergue here, the priest welcomed us and we visited Susannah at the bakery. I passed on Lee's greetings to all. Barbara is from California and she brought a friend with her who has not walked or trained so we should have interesting times. Neither Barbara or I can cook but plan to laugh our way through it. Mass was at 1pm so nothing at tonight other than prayers in the church after supper. Granon is a wonderful 17th century village and the church is 16th century. There is 1 dormitory on the first level of the bell tower, then my room and kitchen and dining area then another dormitory and finally the laundry area at the top of the tower. Marc from Durban was here on 25th and left a note for me. Its scary that we will be in charge as from tomorrow.

Yeeehaaa!! You are finally there! You will do just fine! You are going to be agreat hospitalero and if you can't cook, don't forget to ask if any of the pilgrims are chefs or foodies - they are your greatest resource and might love to take over the cooking! Can't wait for your next post!!
