"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. " Mark Twain

Saturday- 3 more days

No two days are the same and today is definitely going to be different. We managed to get our large families off by 8am this morning amid much thanks and warm hugs all round. A Spanish pilgrim has stayed over another day and helped Barbara and I clean. We could not believe the difference an extra pair of hands made and we were finished by 9.30. Rachel normally cleans our kitchen and Barbara and I share the heavier work of sweeping, mopping the whole place and the 3 dormitories and cleaning the bathrooms and showers. We then clean and disinfect every mattress and then spray the whole place and even the blankets to prevent bedbugs. What a difference it makes to one's day having time for breakfast and a shower before the pilgrims start arriving. It has been sheer luxury. What is more, he is a chef so he is doing the cooking tonight for me. Barbara and Rachel have gone into Santo Domingo to do the shopping and for the first time I am taking an hour and a half to climb a hill here. After the rain, it is a beautiful sunny day but still quite cool.
